What is new in Fade Tabs 2.7?
Modern 2026 UI, vanilla JavaScript (no jQuery), slides subform, horizontal/vertical layouts, search, category filters, deep links with Copy Link, autoplay, remember active tab, Joomla 5 services structure, and native Download ID (DLID) support.
Does Fade Tabs need jQuery?
No. Version 2.7 uses vanilla JavaScript loaded through Joomla’s WebAssetManager.
Can I use custom slides instead of articles?
Yes. Set Content Source to Slides and manage tabs in the repeatable subform (title, content, icon, badge, category, and active state).
Where do I enter the Download ID?
Use Joomla’s built-in Download ID / Download Key for extension updates. There is no custom license key field inside the module.
How do URL anchors and Copy Link work?
Turn on URL Anchors so each tab gets a shareable hash like #jx-ft-{moduleId}-{n}. Copy Link copies that URL so visitors open the same tab directly.
Is it mobile and tablet friendly?
Yes. On tablets and phones the tab bar becomes a swipeable strip with large touch targets, hidden scrollbars, and the active tab keeps itself in view. Vertical layouts stack the same way on smaller screens.
Which themes are included?
Modern 2026 (default), Default, Minimal, Outline, Dark, Rounded, and Gradient. You can also set a Theme Color and optional Theme CSS Override.
Which Joomla versions are supported?
