Which Joomla versions does Razorpay - JoomShopping support?
Joomla 4.4, 5, or 6. PHP 8.1 or newer, with the cURL and OpenSSL extensions.
Which shop does it need?
JoomShopping 5. Tested with JoomShopping 5.9.4. Currency defaults to INR. Other currencies need International Payments on the Razorpay account, then those codes in Accepted currencies.
Which payment methods can customers use?
UPI, credit and debit cards, netbanking, wallets, and EMI or Pay Later, whichever methods are switched on in your Razorpay account. The plugin uses Razorpay Standard Checkout.
Is the payment trusted from the browser?
No. The server checks the Razorpay signature, the amount, and the currency before the order is marked paid.
Do I need a webhook?
Payments can still be confirmed when the customer returns to your site. A webhook is what confirms the order if they close the browser, approve UPI in another app, or you refund from the Razorpay Dashboard.
Can I test before Razorpay finishes KYC?
Yes. Test mode works with rzp_test keys and does not move money. Live keys and real payments need an activated Razorpay account.
Does JoomlaX charge a fee on each payment?
No. JoomlaX does not charge per transaction. Razorpay charges its own fees.
Does it support recurring subscriptions?
No. Each checkout is a one-time payment.
Can I use more than one shop on the same site?
Yes. Install each shop product, or the All Shops Bundle. They share the library and the relay plugin. Each shop has its own webhook URL, and events are routed to the right shop.
What happens to old payments if I uninstall?
The Razorpay method is unpublished. The payment record tables and the method settings are kept so a reinstall can refund and match webhooks again.
