Go to Content → Site Modules → New and choose Scroll Box Pro.
Pick a position, assign menu items, publish, and save.
What content sources are available?
Single text / HTML, Custom items list, Articles from categories, or a Single article.
How do I set scroll speed?
Use Speed (pixels per second) under Motion.
Typical values are 30–80. Higher is faster.
Which scroll directions are supported?
Left, right, up, and down.
Labels match the direction the content travels.
Which themes are available?
Modern, Minimal, Dark, Soft, and Contrast.
Combine a theme with accent and colour fields to match your brand.
Can I show a Breaking or News label?
Yes. Turn on Show Header Label and enter your text.
How do play / pause controls work?
Enable Show Play / Pause.
Visitors can lock or resume scrolling. Pause on hover is separate and optional.
Why is my vertical scroll area short?
Set a fixed Height in Look (for example 160px) when using up or down.
Can links open in a new tab?
Yes. Set Link Target to New Window.
You can also enable nofollow when needed.
Is the module responsive?
Yes. It uses max-width 100% and includes mobile layout tweaks.
It works on phones, tablets, and desktops.
Can I add custom CSS?
Yes. Use the Extra CSS field or a Module Class Suffix.
The box shows “No scroll content found”. What should I check?
Confirm your content source has text, custom items, or published articles.
Then clear Joomla cache and hard-refresh the browser.
Does it still need jQuery?
No. Version 2.0 is fully vanilla JavaScript and CSS.
Can I publish multiple scroll boxes on one page?
Yes. Each module instance can use different content, direction, speed, and theme.
